0545 hrs. Dawn Patrol. Campus Loop. 32 degrees Fahrenheit, 0 degrees Celsius. A moderate wind out of the North for S and G's. Layered up like banshee with every intention to get a decent four-miler in the proverbial "books." Slow, sluggish and out of practice (3 runs since December 1st.) Solid effort nonetheless. Completed the 4.04 miles in a sub-sonic 42:15 for a 10:28 min/mile pace. Slow and Low that is the tempo...Mahalo.

0600 hrs. Dawn Patrol. Abridged Campus Loop. Back in the game after a month of rest and relaxation. First run of 2017. Hit the trail in the pre-dawn hours with temps in the low 20s (20 degrees Fahrenheit, -7 degrees Celsius) and a brutal, unforgiving wind out of the West. Felt good to be back out on the road. Finished the 2.35 miles in 24:36 for a sub-sonic 10:28 min/mile pace. Miles surely to increase, while the times should improve, as well. Mahalo.
