0700 hrs. Daylight Bliss. Campus Loop. Season's first sub-freezing run: temp 28 degrees Fahrenheit (-2 Celsius) with an almost negligible wind from the North. A beautiful, cold, still morning. Layered up with tights, long-sleeves, running jacket, gloves and a soft shell. Extended the go-to route to the Southern Perimeter before heading back North through China Town and the University environs. Completed the 6.62 miles in 1:07:41 for a sub-sonic 10:13 min/mile average pace. Mahalo.

0600 hrs. Dawn Patrol. Campus Loop. Out the door after another long-weekend sans run. Hit the pavement to relatively cool temps (57 degrees Fahrenheit, 14 degrees Celsius) and a nice Southern breeze that kept things manageable. Another 4.05 miles completed in 39:14 for a sub-sonic 9:42 average pace. Yet again, the promise of cold weather (mid to low-30s) looms. Mahalo.

Word on the street is that a cold front is on the way, which could make the weekend runs interesting. Long-sleeves and shorts for today's go-to maintenance run. Back in the game after taking the weekend off...again. Completed the 4.17 miles in a slowish 40:33 for a sub-sonic 9:44 min/mile average pace. Winter weather looms. Mahalo.

Layered up with tights, long-sleeves, gloves and a soft shell. Solid 4.25 mile campus loop completed in 40:38 for an average pace of 9:33 min/mile. Absolutely beautiful Autumn run through familiar environs. Mahalo.

0545 am. Dawn Patrol. Campus Loop. Hit the road in the pre-dawn hours for one of the last times before Daylight Saving ends. Temp was a coolish 63 degrees Fahrenheit (17 degrees Celsius) with humidity at 90%. Completed the 4.17 miles in 41:!2 for a sub-sonic 9:53 min/mile pace. I continue to wait for the cold weather to arrive! Nothing like running in the 0 degree Celsius range. Mahalo.

Outstanding Autumn morning for running: a nice 63 degrees Fahrenheit (17 degrees Celsius) with 85% humidity. It's amazing to think that I am running in shorts and muscle shirts on the first day of November. In Oklahoma. Completed the 5.01 miles in 48:22 for a sub-sonic 9:39 min/mile average pace. BRIs added unnecessary drama and fear to the run. Barely made it home. Mahalo.
