0545 hrs. Dawn Patrol. Campus Loop. Marine Layer Fog. Surreal run through familiar territory. Almost cold: felt like 37 degrees Fahrenheit (3 degrees Celsius) with a slight breeze from the North. Completed the 3.33 miles in 32:43 fro a 9:50 min/mile pace. Finished the month with 48.7 miles on 11 runs. Mahalo.

0800 hrs. Game Day. Campus Loop. Completed the 6.05 miles in 59:21 for a 9:49 min/mile pace. Highway 9 perimeter, through campus, and back home through the residential environs. 15.36 miles for the week. Mahalo.

0600 hrs. Dawn Patrol. Campus Loop. 46 degrees Fahrenheit (8 degrees Celsius) with a solid South breeze. Layered up with 3x dri-fit, shorts, gloves, and a soft-shell. A little windy, but overall it was fantastic Autumn running conditions. Completed the abridged 2.31 miles in 23:09 for a 10:01 min/mile pace. Last weeks digits: 15.40 miles on three runs. Mahalo.

01000 hrs. Campus Loop. Thanksgiving 10k. Cool temps (45 degrees Fahrenheit, 7 degrees Celsius) with a strong South breeze. Layered up, but ditched the gloves and soft-shell. Headed South to the Highway 9 perimeter before tracking North through the campus and residential environs. Solid run from start to finish. Completed the 6.02 miles in 1:01:06 for a 10:09 min/mile pace. Mahalo.

0600 hrs. Dawn Patrol. Campus Loop. Started the week with a chilly 5k this morning. Hit the trail to 41 degrees Fahrenheit (5 degrees Celsius) and negligible wind. Layered up with compression t-shirt, two long-sleeve dri-fits, tights, gloves, and a soft shell. Wheezy and slow. Completed the 3.29 miles in 33:24 for a 10:09 min/mile pace. Mahalo.

0700 hrs. Dawn Patrol. Campus Loop. Cool and windy. Temps a deceiving 45 degrees Fahrenheit (7 degrees Celsius) with a strong North wind. Second run of the week after skipping the mid-week maintenance run on Thursday. Extended the route South to the Highway 9 perimeter and then back North through the campus environs. Should have worn gloves and a soft-shell, but did not. Paid for it on the way back to the shack. Completed the 6.04 miles in 1:01:02 for a 10:06 min/mile average pace. Pitiful 8.35 miles on two runs for the week. Mahalo.

Abbreviated campus maintenance run due to hitting the trail a bit later than usual. Completed the 2.31 miles in 22:24 for a 9:41 min/mile average pace. 0715 hrs. Dawn Patrol. Game Day. Campus Loop. The professionals were out in force for early AM tailgating set-up. Always an energized environment on game days. A bit chilly out on the trail: temp was a coolish 45 degrees (7 degrees Celsius) with a brisk North wind that made it feel cooler. Layered up for the elements. Spartacus Redux on the box. South to the Highway 9 perimeter and back North through the campus and residential environs. Completed the 6.44 miles in 1:01:13 for a 9:31 min/mile pace. 13.35 miles on three runs for the week. 0545 hrs. Dawn Patrol. Campus Loop. Completed the uneventful 3.58 miles in 35:01 for a 9:46 min/mile average pace. Layered up, but ditched the gloves and soft shell. Autumn weather on the brink, but no hard freezes on the horizon. Mahalo.

0600 hrs. Dawn Patrol. Campus Loop. Layered up for the 45 degrees Fahrenheit (7 degrees Celsius), while fully realizing that this will be considered a heat wave in two-months. Little to no breeze, but rocked the extra long-sleeve dri-fit, gloves, and a soft-shell nonetheless. Completed the 3.33 miles in 33:51 for a 10:10 min/mile pace. Slow and Low. Looking to boost mileage after coming off a light 9.54 miles for last week. Mahalo.

0700 hrs. Campus Loop. Marine Layer Fog. Cool and manageable temp with a blanket of fog to make things interesting. Stuck to the sidewalks and open spaces on this one. Completed the 6.00 miles in 58:01 for a 9:40 min/miles pace. Easing back into a solid running schedule after dropping off a bit in the last couple of weeks. Cool temps on the horizon. 0545 hrs. Halloween Fun Run. Back in the game after an upper respiratory infection sidelined me for a week and change. Coldest day of Autumn to date. 35 degrees Fahrenheit (2 degrees Celsius) with a slight breeze from the West. Layered up with tights, long-sleeves x 2, gloves and a soft-shell. Beautiful Winter-like run to end the month. Completed the 3.53 miles in 33:53 for a 9:36 min/mile average pace. Mahalo.
