March 31, 2018

0730 hrs. Campus Loop. Cool and windy. Temp was a manageable 52 degrees Fahrenheit (11 degrees Celsius), but it felt a lot cooler with the strong South wind. Long-sleeves and shorts. No tunes on this one. Completed the 3.88 miles in 40:35 for a pedestrian 10:28 min/mile pace. Not bad for an Easter fast of 36-hours. Ten runs for the month. Mahalo.

March 20, 2018

0630 hrs. Dawn Patrol. Campus Loop. Another cold (32 degrees Fahrenheit, 0 degrees Celsius) and windy (18 mph, 29 kph) morning out on the trail. March 17, 2018

0800 hrs. Campus Loop. Reversed the route after months of hitting the trail from the Boyd Street portal. Out the door a bit later than usual for a rare daylight run. Temps a very manageable 42 degrees Fahrenheit (6 degrees Celsius) with a strong North breeze. Shorts and long-sleeves, soft shell and gloves for this one. Spartacus Redux on the box. March 1, 2018 (out of sequence)

0545 hrs. Dawn Patrol. Campus Loop. Hit the road to the waning vestiges of winter temps (32 degrees Fahrenheit, 0 degrees Celsius) and a negligible breeze from the North. Layered up for the elements, although it probably was overkill. Completed the 3.30 miles in 34:43 for a sub-sonic 10:31 min/mile pace. Mahalo.

March 14, 2018

0545 hrs. Dawn Patrol. Campus Loop. A sporadic running schedule continues. The Hash Bud Classic (10k) is but a mere 24 days away. Hit the trail with the temp right at freezing (32 degrees Fahrenheit, 0 degrees Celsius) with a slight North breeze. Felt slow and sluggish, which is to be expected, I suppose. Completed the 3.51 miles in a pedestrian 37:14 for a 10:36 min/mile average pace. Will have to double at some point this week to get to three runs. Mahalo.

March 6, 2018

0545 hrs. Dawn Patrol. Campus Loop. Cold-ish (36 degrees Fahrenheit, 2 degrees Celsius) with a fairly substantial North breeze. Layered up and hit the trail. Completed the 3.00 miles in a sub-sonic 30:42 minutes for a 10:14 min/mile average pace. Bowel Related Issues (BRIs) caused fleeting waves of panic and fear; however, I managed to make it home before anything serious transpired. Listen to your body--before, during, and after a run--is always good advice. Mahalo.
