1800 hrs. Another beautiful fall afternoon in N. Florida—the temperature was a mild 80 degrees (27 degrees Celsius) with negligible humidity. Ditched the ear buds and ran sans music for this one. Cadence, breathing, and the sounds of the wild in lieu of the usual suspects. Completed the 4.55 miles in 52.15 for a sub-sonic 11:29 min/mile pace. Mahalo.

1800 hrs. Autumn on the Brink. A relatively cool 80 degrees Fahrenheit (27 degrees Celsius) with 10% humidity. Cloudless skies and dry trails. The promise of cooler weather looms. Blink 182 on the Box. Completed the 4.46 miles in 52:45 for a sub-sonic, carbohydrate-deprived 11:50 min/mile pace.

1800 hrs. Another solid trail run through familiar territory. West Loop and beyond. Summer returned with the temperature an uncomfortable 86 degrees Fahrenheit (30 degrees Celsius) with RH in the 85% range. The Sauna Returns. Nirvana on the Box. Again. Completed the 4.58 miles in 50:41 for a lethargic 11:05 min/mile pace. Drain Me. Mahalo.

1800 hrs. Post-Thunderstorm Trail Bliss Revisited. Overcast and humid. The temperature was a pleasant 78 degrees Fahrenheit (26 degrees Celsius) and there was a decent breeze. Nirvana on the Box. Completed the 4.55 miles in 49:06 for a 10:47 min/mile pace. Mahalo.

1800 hrs. (out of chronological order) Relatively cool with the false hope of Autumn--77 degrees Fahrenheit, 25 degrees Celsius--providing a nice, short-lived respite from the heat and humidity. The Psychedelic Furs on the Box, which remains one of my favorites, dating back to the early 1980s. Completed the 4.60 in 51:35 for an 11:13 min/mile pace. Mahalo.

1800 hrs. Overcast and brutally humid, but the cloud cover made for a nice change. The temp (85 degrees Fahrenheit, 29 degrees Celsius) was a bit cooler, and a slight breeze helped. Lithium on the Box. Completed the 4.48 miles in 50:29 for an 11:17 min/mile pace. Mahalo.
